CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. — The joke was about having grass and landscaping.
That’s not all the progress made at Recovery Works Cambridge City since it opened its doors Jan. 31, 2017, for an open house just days after it began accepting patients. Yes there was plenty of grass, plus bushes, flowers, a pavilion and a basketball court, outside of the facility at 2060 Ind. 1 northwest of the interchange with Interstate 70 when the center’s doors were again opened Tuesday for tours.
The important changes, however, have taken place inside. Terry Suttle, the executive director when the Pinnacle Treatment Centers facility opened and now the director of labor relations, estimated 230 people completed treatment last year, and he said this year’s total might exceed that by about 100.
