What started as a fun way to hold each other accountable in their recovery has turned into a large event aimed at attracting those recovering from addiction from across the state.
The Blue Water Recovery Classic on Sept. 9 will feature 12 softball teams — every player is either a member of Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous.
The softball tournament at Knox Field is being sponsored by Vision of Hope Charities, Blue Water Area Churches and Operation Transformation. September is also National Recovery Month.
