Growing up, I watched family members and friends struggle with addiction, but I have also seen the beauty of recovery. I love my community and I want anyone who is struggling with addiction to know that there are options out there. During my time at Aegis in Chico, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing many people succeed in their recovery – that is a feeling like no other, to know we can be a part of someone’s health and wellbeing. That’s why I do what I do!
After receiving my BA in psychology, I didn’t know what I was going to do or how I was going to use my degree. When I started at Aegis as a Counselor, I found so much joy in what I did; helping someone always made my days better. Now as a Patient Navigator, I want to go even further into the community to raise awareness around Substance Use Disorder as well as treatment options for anyone who is struggling.
